武汉音乐学院作曲系简介

武汉音乐学院作曲系,是一个阵容强大、梯队整齐、实力雄厚、成果显著的教学、创作、科研与艺术实践集体。作曲系有着武汉音乐学院第一个院级重点学科,第一个省级重点学科,第一个国家特色专业建设点。

作曲系现设办公室、作曲教研室、作曲技术理论教研室、录音艺术教研室、视唱练耳教研室、音乐基础理论教研室、计算机音乐实验中心、中国现代音乐研究中心、作曲与作曲技术理论教学实验室等部门。设作曲与作曲技术理论(含视唱练耳、音乐基础理论)、录音艺术(音乐音响导演)、音乐表演(指挥、指挥艺术指导)三个专业方向,并在音乐附中、大学本科和硕士、博士学位研究生各层次招生。20世纪80年代以来,作曲系在全国音乐院校中率先创建录音艺术(音乐音响导演)专业,并围绕该专业在全国音乐院校中率先开设了多门核心课程;在全国音乐院校中首开《和声发展史》、《序列音乐写作基础》、《音乐分析学》、《算法作曲》等课程。

65年来,作曲系教师在教学工作之余,笔耕不止,创作了大量的优秀音乐作品,并在国际国内各种比赛中获奖。代表性作品包括王义平的《貔貅舞曲》,谢功成的《长江抒情诗》、钟信明的《第二交响曲》、《长江画页》,刘健的《纹饰》、《风的回声》和CD专辑《盘王之女》、《黑珍珠》、《天门》,彭志敏的《山民印象》、《八山璇读》,黄汛舫的《工尺谱游戏》,周雪石的室内歌剧《再别康桥》,赵曦的《葳蕤》、《南国》,龚华华的《水德吟》以及《武汉音乐学院电子音乐作品选集》(附CD)等等。

65年来,作曲系教师在教学和创作的同时还科研不止,推出了大量的理论成果,特别是在现代作曲技法研究领域,取得了全国领先、国际瞩目的大量学术成果。据不完全统计,作曲系教师累计出版各类专著、译著等约50余部,发表专业学术论文等500余篇,完成或承担的国家级、省部级科研项目近30项。

作为主要发起者和组织者,作曲系多次开风气之先,举办了多次在中国现、当代音乐历史上具有重要意义的有关作曲与作曲技术理论的学术会议。如,分别于1979年和1986年举办的第一、二届全国和声学学术报告会,分别于1985年、1998年主办的第一、二届全国作曲家会议,1990年与日本雅马哈公司合办的全国第一次MIDI与数码乐器新作展示会,2005年举办的第一届中国现代音乐创作研究年会,2007年起开始举办的武汉国际新音乐节、武汉国际音乐节,2015年举办的第三届全国音乐分析学学术研讨会等。作曲系教师先后出访俄罗斯、德、法、英、美、日、韩等国家以及港澳台地区进行讲学和学术交流,多次出席国际、国内的各种重要学术会议,并发表成果。

近年来,作曲系在深化教学、科研、创作管理改革的基础上,精心搭建、务实推进“作曲之声——武汉音乐学院作曲系师生作品音乐会系列”、“作曲系教师论坛”、“作曲系大型教研室研讨”、“新声”作曲比赛、视唱练耳与音乐基础理论教学周、尚创新·学科竞赛等多种平台,努力打造高水平的师资队伍、强化学科建设、提高教学质量,显示出蓬勃的生机和强大的教学、创作、科研与艺术实践能力。

Brief Introduction to Composition-Theory Department of Wuhan Conservatory of Music

Composition-TheoryDepartmentof Wuhan Conservatory of Music is a practice communities of teaching, writing, scientific research and artistic practice, which integrated with a strong lineup, tidy team, strong strength and remarkable achievement. Composition-TheoryDepartmentof Wuhan Conservatory of Music has the first conservatory-level key discipline, the first provincial-level key disciplines, and the first national specialty construction spot.

Composition-TheoryDepartmentis arranged with office, composing teaching and research section, theory of composition technology teaching and research section, recording art (music audio director) teaching and research section, solfeggio teaching, music theory teaching and research section, computer music experimental center, China modern music research center and Composition-Theory teaching laboratory.

Composition-TheoryDepartmentis arranged with 3 professional directions: composition & composition technical theory (including solfeggio, basic theory of music), recording art (music audio director), music performance (conductor, director of art direction), which recruits undergraduate, master and doctor's degree graduate at all levels in affiliate middle school of Wuhan Conservatory of Music. Since 1980s, Composition-TheoryDepartmenthas taken the lead in creating the recording arts (music audio director) specialty in the national music colleges and has taken the lead in setting up a number of core courses in the national music college around the majors. Composition College has been the first unit in the national music college for offering “History of Harmonious Development”, “Fundamentals of Serial Music Writing”, “Music Analysis”, “Algorithm Composer” and other courses.

In the past 65 years, the teachers of Composition-TheoryDepartmenthave done a great deal of excellent musical works and have won nearly 100 awards in various international and domestic competitions. Representative works mainly include Wang Yiping'sPi-xiu Dance, Xie Gongcheng'sThe Lyric of Yangtze River, Zhong Xinming'sSymphony No. 2,Pictures of the Yangtze River, Liu Jian’sVeins (for synthesizer and string orchestra),Echoes of wind (for sixteen Chinese big bamboo flutes)and CD albumsThe Daughter of King Pan,Black PearlandTianmen, Peng Zhimin'sThe Impression about Mountain people,Ba Shan Xuan Du, Huang Xunfang'sThe game of Gong-che notation (a cappella), Zhou Xue Shi'sFarewell to Cambridge (chamber opera), Zhao Xi'sBlooming……,The Southern Land (piano concertino)and “Selected Works of Electronic Music of Wuhan Conservatory of Music” (with CD) and etc.

In the past 65 years, teachers of Composition-TheoryDepartmenthave made additional scientific research while teaching and writing, and have released a large number of theoretical achievements, especially in the fields of modern composer techniques. They have achieved a great deal of academic achievements of leading and attracting international attention. According to incomplete statistics, the teachers of Composition-TheoryDepartmenthave published more than 50 monographs and translations, published more than 500 professional academic papers and completed or undertaken nearly 30 state-level and provincial-level scientific research projects.

As the main initiator and organizer, the Composition-TheoryDepartmenthad led the trend and held many academic conferences on the theory of composition and composition techniques which has a great significance in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese music. For example, the first and second national and acoustic academic symposia held in 1979 and 1986 respectively, the first and second national composers' conferences respectively held in 1985 and 1998, the first new exhibition of MIDI and digital musical instruments in China jointly organized with Japan's Yamaha Company in 1990, the first annual conference of Chinese modern music creation and research in 2005 and the Wuhan International New Music Festival since 2007. Teachers of Composition-TheoryDepartmenthad visited Russia, Germany, France, Britain, United States and other countries as well as Hong Kong, Maucao and Taiwan for lectures and academic exchanges. Besides, Composition-TheoryDepartmenthad attended the international and domestic important academic conference, and published the academic results.

Based on deepening the reform of teaching, scientific research and creative management, the Composition-Theory Department has pragmatically promoted “Sound of Composition - Concert Series of Teachers and Students of Wuhan Conservatory of Music”, “Teachers' Forum of department of Composition Music”, “Discussion Forum of Large Teaching and Research Office of Composition-Theory Department”, “Competition of New Composition”, “Solfeggio and Music theory Teaching Week” and other teaching and learning platforms in recent years. In addition, Composition-Theory department is striving to create a high level of teaching staff, strengthen discipline construction, improve teaching quality, show vigorous vitality and strong performance in teaching, creative, scientific research and artistic practice.
